Idea Fabrik Worldwide

History

Idea Fabrik was founded by Alex Shalash and Joerg Dobish. The founders recognized emerging new opportunities in the online games sector that could be driven by financial acumen as well as technologies. They built the company’s initial plan and proceeded to build prototype products and raise funding. As the business developed, John Jenkins joined the team as CEO. Development proceeded in the company’s Ukrainian studio headed by Luda Alexeeva.

Idea Fabrik became a licensee of the HeroEngine. Impressed by the technology, Idea Fabrik acquired the HeroEngine business in the summer of 2010 along with its team and other assets, appointing Hero’s Neil Harris as COO and as President of the new US subsidiary, IF Studios, Inc. and Herb Marselas as VP Engineering.
